Born in 1914 into one of the oldest Florentine families, Emilio Pucci, the Marquis of Barsento, became a fashion phenomenon in the 1950s, thanks to his futuristic vision, which is still reflected in the fashion house's creations today. The Marquis was crowned The Prince of Prints by international fashion journalists, who were won over by his bold and innovative designs, as well as his radical approach to the fashion of the time. As well as being a major influence on contemporary fashion, Pucci's legacy still represents one of the defining moments in the origin of Italian style, with his designs and strong pastel colours being iconic and identifiable.
