From the new MCQ brand banner, the remaining letters of the name of the brand's founding designer Alexander McQuenn can be seen hidden under the black band. Over the years he has been called many things: creative genius, cursed, restless, gothic and romantic, admirable, disturbed, provocateur. Certainly if we are still talking about him today, almost ten years after his sad death, it is because Alexander McQueen was undoubtedly a brilliant artist capable of surprising the entire star system by shocking the world with his incredibly disturbing fashion shows. The strength of his ideas led him to be dubbed the hooligan of fashion for his dreamlike, futuristic, poetic creations bordering on the absurd.
